good news everyone

Just a quick update...

Ayden is HOME!

I don't have a ton of information as I've been keeping to myself the past couple of days. (stress = withdrawn Tiffany)

They sent him home earlier in the week and I just haven't had a chance to get on here to update. He's still weighing in at 6 pounds and still has a course of antibiotics to go through. My SIL is a CPN so they let her take him home since she has the medical know-how to care for him properly. He's being fed still through his feeding tube and is still hooked to monitors at home so they can watch his breathing and heart rate.

I spoke with her on thursday I think and she said that they were concerned about him crying a lot. And his monitors keep going off. Nothing that wasn't out of the ordinary when he was at the hospital, but of course the worry is always there. I was thinking though, if they thought there was reason to keep him I don't think they'd send him home. Plus they know how the other hospital screwed up in regards to sending him home after birth to begin with. I don't reckon they'd take any chances sending him on his way if it wasn't necessary. She told me they were thinking of taking him back in, but would see how he did over night thursday. I haven't heard from anyone (well, I haven't called) So I don't know what they decided. I'll get more info later.

As far as I know though, everything is still the same. It's still a wait and see about exactly how much brain damage there is. But with everything that's happened so far, with all the doctors have told us that HASN'T happened....I'm optimistic. :)

It's been made quite clear how much of a fighter he really is.
