They gave me some more pain pills since I'm still having some pain. (which I'm thankful for) The pain is certainly nothing compared to the pain I had last week, but it's still uncomfortable. Things seem to be getting better day by day, but standing up for any length of time is still painful. I can't quite stand straight and the surgery area seems to cramp quite a bit....so it's making my back hurt in turn. I'm super thankful I'll be on light duty for another 2 weeks!
I do also have a slight rash across my abdomen. The nurse seems to think I have a slight allergy to the iodine they used, so I have to take some benadryl to help for that. Other than those minor things, I would say my recovery has been going well. I do still have to go back for a 2nd follow up on the 21st to make sure I don't have a hernia or anything though.
Now that I've got that out of the way I can go back to work. I'll be back tomorrow and like I said, will be on light duty until the 16th. I can't lift anything over 10 pounds, so I think I'll probably be back in returns again. It does kind of suck that I'll be going back to regular duty when we'll be in the busiest part of the year at work. But I suppose I ought to be thankful for the little break I've gotten from the rush and stress that seems to occur this time of year (retail during Christmas is insane, even on the distribution end)
I'm still sleeping on my back, so sleep hasn't been as fulfilling as of late. Hopefully tonight I can try to get SOME sleep!
And now I'm a bit sleepy because my pain pills have kicked in......
